Find out more about the agreements signed on June 28, 2018

On 28 June 2018, the 12th session of COS-C2D was held in the presence of the Secretary of State to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Mr Jean Baptiste Lemoyne. This ceremony was punctuated by the signing of three assignment agreements for the 3rd C2D. To know:

Ø  Ø The agreement on the financing of the project to support the valorization, transformation and industrialization of agricultural products (TRANSFAGRI) for an amount of 27 million euros, or 17.71 billion CFA francs;

 

Ø the agreement for the financing of the Technical Assistance Fund for Public Policy Development (FATEP) project, for an amount of 1.6 million euros or 1.04 billion CFA francs;

Ø the agreement dedicated to the financing of the "Regional Capital II" programme for an amount of 30 million euros or 19.67 billion CFA francs.

 

FATEP

Will aim to support the sectoral Ministries receiving sectoral budget support in 2017-2019, such as MINSANTE, MINEDUB and MINEPAT, in achieving their performance objectives through the financing of expertise, studies and/or capacity building services.      

Ø MINSANTE: Sustainability of the health check scheme by transferring the activities carried out by the NGO Consortium (CIDR, CARE) to the Regional Health Promotion Funds (FRPS)

Ø MINEDUB: Support for the management and structuring of the Communal project management through technical assistance

Ø MINEPAT and the National Upgrading Office (BMN): technical assistance

 

TRANSFAGRI

Aim to boost the agricultural and agri-food sectors through the development and sustainability of a service ecosystem for the benefit of local economic actors (SMEs and ICGs/Cooperatives) SMEs and ICGs/Cooperatives operating in the agri-food and agri-industry sectors.

 

Regional Capitals 2

 

Will aim to contribute to integrated national economic development through the urban development of two regional capitals (Bamenda and Maroua) and the improvement of the environment and living conditions of the populations in these cities and their region through i) road and drainage infrastructure, ii) market and sports facilities, iii) urban services and iv) green spaces and leisure.
